The Dyno shows a very nice torque curve and when you twist the throttle you can tell!Customer Feed Back. Before I get to that I need to start this review off by stating that I met Doc through these forums a few years ago when i was having issues getting my Street Glide to run properly.

Doc was one of the few people that presented knowledge about how to tune using the SERT. He helped me finally get my SG run correctly but I had not used him as a tuner.

I went through 3 different tuners before I met Doc, talked with several different folks on the forums and was in the process of learning how the SERT software worked because I was having issues with Decel popping and could not get a resolution. I eventually worked everything out of that bike and swore off ever making an adjustment again and if I did I swore only Doc would tune my bike. I decided to purchase a Electra Glide Classic. I told my wife that I wouldn't tune anything - that at most I would put on slip-ons.

That was before I found out there was a CAT in the headpipes. In the beginning I figured I could work through it - but here in Florida plus degrees rising up under your leg gets super hot really quickly.

Larry hoover mother died

I sent a note over to Doc about what I could do and he told me to take a look at the Jackpot headpipes. I went to the FuelMoto website, looked over the combinations and sent Jamie several emails asking questions. Each email was met with a reply and Jamie told me to look at the Jackpot headpipe and Jackpot Dyno tuned muffler combination.

I took a look and for my simple 96 inch motor it appeared that this combination would get me 14 more hp and 14 more pounds of torque. I must admit I was very skeptical at this point looking at the dyno charts posted on the website - but FuelMoto has a great reputation and Jamie and his staff were very friendly and customer oriented so I decided to take a chance.

The parts arrived in 2 shipments as I had to wait for the headpipes because they were on back order - but I still only waited a week for all of the parts to arrive.

I also ordered the Arlen Ness Big Sucker stage 1 kit. Opening the box on the mufflers I was pleased, noticed that one core was smaller than the other - which is what I expected. When the headpipes arrived I was very pleased with them. I have installed a few sets of pipes in my day and I must say that these were the most precise, well welded set of pipes I have ever had my hands on. I installed everything within a couple of hours and everything went smoothly. The only issue I thought I had was that the headpipes didn't appear to go deep into the heads where the flanges were.

After talking with one of Jamie's techs and going over it we determined that it was installed as expected. The only hiccup was that the bolts had about 2 threads showing - which is normal.

Fullsac Exhaust Install Part 1

There were no exhaust leaks. As I promised myself before, this was the only person who was going to tune my bike. As I stated earlier he demonstrated an immense amount of knowledge to me that nobody else had been able to do from my previous experiences. I also have heard by word of mouth and seen many bikes get tuned from him so I was confident that he was the man for the job. He is about I took the bike up today and he tuned it for about 3. I watched him go through all of the high ends and low ends and do the vtuning.

He is very meticulious and precise, goes through all of the cells and doesn't skip or shortcut. Most of the time I snuck up to the window and he never saw me watching what he was doing - and I watched I saw first hand that he was following the tuning recipe that he preaches to the students he teaches. Doc's Performance Tuning. Its always a pleasure to do business with someone who tells you what they are going to do, then does it.

The results are what he said they would be. Having dealt with some other tuners that left me with more questions than answers, and results no better than I could have gotten using the auto-tune feature myself, I went to Doc, after the recommendation of this forum.

I didn't have some complicated assortment of parts that required a master tuner to extract every last foot pound of torque, just a bike that I wanted to run better. When Doc started the down load of TTS Master Tune to the Bike a problem occurred because the previous owner had a Map down loaded that wasn't even for that year bike and Master Tune would not over write it.Scroll down to read more! Dynoed out at HP and TQ! Over Ft pounds RPM! Parts used, 4. Tuned with TTS Mastertune. With all the talk about exhaust systems, I had to get in on the fun. I decided to buy a stock appearing performance exhaust that made use of the stock heat shields. I like two mufflers out back and I want good ground clearance with good engine performance.

Fuel Moto and Fullsac make similar headpipe systems combined with a proven dyno tuned set of four inch mufflers. I've had good luck with ceramic coated steel headers so no need for stainless steel. Jackpot Fuel Moto has developed 4" mufflers with an asymmetrical baffle system that allows them to use the right muffler as the primary muffler. Fullsac uses the same baffle on each side in re-cored CVO mufflers with a new DX collector designed to create equal flow to the left side muffler.

I chose the Fullsac symmetrical flow solution. I like the concept of getting the same flow through each muffler. I selected the 1. With the stock heat shields in place, the exhaust system appears showroom stock for a CVO. It produces a good Harley sound without being too loud I'm told. I'll know after I get some miles on it. I put a set of Fullsac 1. Two 1.

Featured products

The biggest difference is that the two muffler solution is going to be quieter. The trick to good performance is to NOT have the packing wrapped directly around the muffler core. The picture shows the 3" diameter screen without the 1. The right most picture shows the four core sizes Fullsac offers.

fullsac m8

I used the smallest ones. The bigger cores are for louder, not for more performance. I have the Fuel Moto head pipe, even with a full size crossover, I think most of the exhaust goes through the right muffler following a path of least resistance.

Starting inI believe, the baffles were changed from the one you have pictured. The new baffles are the same for both left and right sides of the bike. Instead of being ,half flattened, and welded in the middle the new style baffle is basically the same configuration as on the stock " SG but flow much better. CVO baffles consistist of 1. The tail baffle is about six inches long and has the four sided termination pucker to seal it from the larger main perferated chamber.

Doing the math the open Fullsac 1. In simple terms the baffle has more flow capability than the open pipe itself. So aside from the obstruction from the tail baffle itself the stock CVO muffler flows very well and the muffs are the same on each side of the bike. The reason I brought this to light is for those that want an attractive quiet muffler with good flow and at a resonable price.

The CVO muffs can still be disasembled and re-screened and re-insulated drilled and reinstalled just like the Fullsac offerings and can be swapped out for the Fullsacs if more noise is needed. I for one have put too many miles on too many noisy bikes and need quiet. Not to say I still don"t appreciate a nice sounding bike my favorite of which is a Shovel with drag pipes. The Old School. If I was to go with a dual set up again I would definitely look at the Fullsac and something similar behind it.

Nice write up!! Fullsac worked on the X-Pipe and elbow design to get the flow to split with the same muffler on each side. The Jackpot design appears to have a much tighter bend to the cross-over pipe.
